As outlined in the mailer that directed you to this page, The Village of Hinsdale’s new solid waste and recycling hauler, Flood Brothers, will begin delivering new trash and recycling carts to homes throughout the community Monday, October 19-31, 2026.
If you would like to review and/or change your trash or recycling cart size, please submit your selection no later than Friday, September 25, 2026.
TRASH: Flood Brothers will deliver a trash cart matching your current trash cart size.* Available trash cart sizes are 35, 65, and 95 gallons.
RECYCLING: Flood Brothers will deliver a recycling cart matching your current recycling cart size.* Available recycling cart sizes are 35, 65, and 95 gallons.
*Where existing cart data was not provided, default sizes have been assigned to your home (95 gallon for trash and 65 gallon for recycling). Important Delivery & Existing Cart Removal Information:
- Cart deliveries will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. October 19–31, 2026.
- Delivery crews may be working in your neighborhood without delivering carts to your specific home that day.
- Please allow the entire delivery period to be completed before contacting Flood Brothers regarding a missing cart. If both of your immediate neighbors have received their carts and you have not, please contact us.
- Carts will be delivered before Flood Brothers curbside collection begins the week of Monday, November 2, 2026. Your normal collection day will remain the same.
- Please leave your current Republic Services carts at the curb after your final Republic collection on October 26 or October 29 so they can be removed.

There is no price difference between 65-gal and 95-gal recycling cart size options. Please select the cart sizes that best suit your household's needs. If no selection is made before the deadline, the carts from OPTION 1 will be delivered to your home by default.
